Golden Cheetah – Development Builds

Remember, these are "release" builds of the current development code.

Latest Windows build. Sorry Mac users – my build machine is need of some repairs.

Please let me know if using this build whether you get crashes while loading the application as it parses files.

I have remove CLucene (and hence search functionality) to see if this stops GC crashing on load.

For Windows and Mac, version 3.0 installs into different location and the data files are in separate directories compared to version 2.x so that they don’t conflict. You need to copy/paste from your version 2 to your version 3 if you want to use your old files. Open menu item “About – Help” or “GoldenCheetah – About” in both you 2.x or 3.x version and see where the Activity files are stored. You then copy the Athlete from one directory to the other using the OS and restart and the files should be available.

I have changed Clucene to 0.9.21b and there was a patch implemented to hopefully work around the crashes.

Pulling the Windows build as there seems to be an issue that is causing it to crash repeatedly.

Latest Windows and Mac builds.

I’ve rebuilt my Mac build setup. This should work on 32bit and 64bit kernels.

I believe it should run 10.6 and it may also run on 10.5.

This runs on MacOSX 10.6+ 32bit or 64bit.

The MAC build does not have ANT+ USB stick support. It should be in next build. Sorry for that oversight.

Would love feedback on whether it works (or not) on your Mac and OS/kernel you running on. – Thanks for the feedback that I received.

Mac build is new for me. At this time it is 64bit Intel only. Not sure how far back you can run this but I think it may do 10.5.

Would love feedback on whether it works (or not) on your Mac and OS are you running on.

Update (2012/11/19) – I have received feedback that this is not working on 10.6. I am working on getting a slightly different build environment working to support earlier releases.

Latest Windows build is up and it now supports importing directly from the Joule GPS. This is in beta stage so feedback is welcome. Lots of user interface (UI) modifications to make it a little more user friendly.

We are slowly migrating the WIKI over to GitHub and the majority of open Feature Requests/Bugs have been migrated to the Issue Tracker on GitHub. A big thanks to Justin Knotzke for hosting the Redmine platform that the old Feature/Bug tracker and WIKI were running on.

Please check out the WIKI page on Version 3.x Features especially the Add Chart Button as to where charts are in the current build. The page is being actively worked on but as these are development versions some information may be missing or out of date.

Please uninstall the last build and install this one as I have updated VLC to use version 2 and the plugins directory structure is all different.
